This quality range of boots and shoes are ideal for historic re-enactment, TV, film, theatre, LARP or just because you want some thing different.
The shoes and boots below are part hand and part machine made. This enables us to offer quality footwear at a reasonable cost. All designs have all been researched and are based either on contemporary examples or pictures. Only quality leather is used in both the uppers and soles of our footwear. We offer full UK sizes only. We are always increasing our range to offer more variety so please check back regularly.

Our designs have been researched and designed by me to ensure that they are as accurate as possible whilst remaining affordable. Remember you are buying from a qualified shoemaker with over 25 years re-enactment experience. If you need advice please ask.

We offer full male UK sizes only unless the footwear is specifically female, no half sizes and in an average width fitting. We do not offer conversions so you need to tell us your UK size.
UK Orders
Although I will send footwear to almost any where in the world I can only offer this service to UK mainland addresses.
Overseas orders
Urgent orders outside our usual despatch schedule may incur an extra charge.
I usually do administration on a Monday and despatch UK orders on the Wednesday after the postage on the invoice has been paid.

Many of our shoes and boots can be fitted with a rubber grip sole, it is best to ask your local cobbler to do this after you have tried on your footwear to ensure they fit. Alternatively you can buy stick on soles from many local hardwear shops or supermarkets.
Many of our designs can be dyed other colours. Please ask for details.
We also offer a shoe colouring service, most shoes can be painted with special leather paint to almost any colour.

Returns
The footwear unless faulty must be in unused as new condition.
Inform us by email you are sending your order back.
Return them to us along with a copy of your invoice. Write on the invoice what you want as replacements.
You must pay the out going postage on your original invoice before we will send replacements
Once the return has been received and processed we will send replacements.
Note payments terms are 10 days from invoice date if not paid with order.

S11 Early latchet shoe, nailed soles ideal for Tudor, early 17th century. This is an ideal children's shoe. Black.

S12 Slip On Tudor Shoe (Mary Rose). Natural leather. These can be dyed as seen in the third picture for £15. Almost any colour is available. If you want these or any shoes dyed make sure you mention it in your order email.

S10 Bear Paw Shoes. Nailed soles, Buckle and square toe. Black.

S1 Closed latchet, soldiers shoes. Brown These can be dyed black for £15. You can cut back the tongue to your required size. Welted construction.

S1A Natural colour. These are straight lasted but designed to be very comfortable. Dyed brown (see third picture) or black add £15.

S1C Brown. This shoe is based on an existing example from the 17th century. It is a closed shoe with squarish toe. Ideal for soldiers and civilians. They can be dyed black (£15 extra).

S1DH Brown. This is a new design with a hand sewn upper. Copied from existing examples and images these are top quality shoes. Handsewn uppers, leather upper and sole. Best quality leather. UK sizes 2 - 13, no half sizes.

B6 Start ups. Following requests from customers these boots will continue as a stock line in brown smooth side out only. THESE HAVE NOW BEEN REDESIGNED TO BE EVEN STRONGER AND MORE STURDY. These shoes have leather soles and heel pieces. We recommend that you add a rubber heel piece and sole ( a cobbler can do this) to extend the life of the shoe. The originals always show high wear on the heels and they weren't walking on modern surfaces.

Extras
Hobnails. I can supply these for either the Roman boots or later footwear. We suggest you fit these yourself after trying the footwear on. 35p each.
We can dye some shoe and boots, prices start at £15/pair. Note we can only dye darker colours for example brown to black. With natural colour shoes we can dye most colours.
We now offer painted shoes. This is in response to many customers wanting to match their shoes to their out fit. We are limited by the leather paints available. Prices start at £20/pair.
Buckles as used on S4 £20 pair.
5% discount is available for multiple purchases of 6 pairs or more.
Postage costs. Shoes £12.50 Low Boots £15. High Boots £18.50 For most UK orders I use Royal Mail next day before 1pm (after posting) as it is insured.
Estimated European postage costs. Shoes and low boots from £25. High boots from £30.
Estimated USA and the rest of the world postage costs. Shoes and all boots from £44. Please note due to variation in shipping costs the amount will be specified on your invoice.

By placing an order you agree to pay all postage costs. As per the distance selling regulations you may return shoes to me other than special orders. Note I offer a try before you buy policy. However you agree to pay the out going postage as quoted on the invoice and the cost of returning any footwear - UK only.
Any defective footwear will be repaired or replaced free of charge and your postage costs will be met.
